I confess. I have been a bad blogger. Life and work caught up with me for a bit and I apologize! August was vacation month, so can I use that for my excuse for not blogging my best in September? No? Ok, no excuses. On the bright side, my lack of blogging means plenty has built up for me to share with you in the coming weeks! Lots of album designs and such! She might possibly be my favorite photographer to work with. But who doesn’t love working with people that are awesome? I had to wait to post this because she was getting so many hits to her new site it was shutting down! She is a popular girl….what can I say? I was so excited when Kamila asked for my help with her new website design. I am definitely not a web designer…flash, java, all that fancy stuff….woooooo. My brain doesn’t work that way. I noticed that someone had stumbled upon Piqulette trying to find advice on breaking even in graphic design. This inspired me to share a little bit about my goals and “business plan”. It has been a hectic few weeks, so blog posts have been slow, but I never wanted to let a week go by without a post (goal #1?). One of my goals is to start helping people grow their business through the knowledge I have gained over the years of observing rather than trying to Recently, the Piqulette blog was discovered by someone trying to learn how to break even in graphic design. Now, they didn’t find what they were looking for necessarily. They found an article about Break Even‘s new business cards. Anyway, it got me thinking about how I hope to break even, and how important having a plan of some sort is. Just saying business plan can scare away many people. But I want to offer a different perspective on it. A business plan does not have to be the most formal thing in the world.
