I have been working hard on rebuilding my website and wanted to share a sneak peak of the results! I am really excited about the album layout slideshow made possible by the incredible Show It! They are also the incredible company that I have to thank for my album design order form. While I had to build the form myself, Show It takes care of all the hard stuff form me (coding)!

While I prefer my wedding album design to be either a clean & modern design, or a color block design, I tend to stay away from the wedding albums that (in my opinion) look like a scrapbook threw up. You know what I am referring to…Drop shadows, cut-outs, multiple overlays, oh my! So Scary…. About a month ago, I posted the cover to an album that I had created (see the post here). The Starlet Sessions sample book was such a fun project for me, and being able to tie it all together Back in July, someone found the Piqulette blog looking for business advice. It was very exciting to me to see that it was something that not only brought someone to the site, but then, they were inspired to read a bit and spend some time. It inspired an initial post about my excitement, and then a follow-up post with one of my business goals. I realize it has been a while since these posts, so I decided I would revisit them. Since those posts, I feel like I have accomplished quite a bit. I have helped others grow their Last night was the Philadelphia networking party for The Knot. It caused me to fall a minute behind on blogging, but was totally worth it. This year’s theme was Carnival and it super fun. Cotton candy spun around prime rib satays, the most delicious mini burger ever, pretzel knots (get it? knots…), mini funnel cakes with parmesean…mmmm mmmm good! I wish I had taken pictures, but between business cards, glasses, plates, etc, I couldn’t handle carrying one more thing I do however want to say thank you to everyone who put together the great event! It is always great |

cans for comments
I originally stumbled upon the cans for comments concept when they requested to follow me on Twitter. Â I read through their description quickly one morning, hit accept, and went on my merry way. Â My scan through the description didn’t actually process anything through my brain at that early hour one day except “not spam”. Â A few days later, I clicked on someone’s blog post on Twitter. Â Emily Porter‘s to be exact. Â I read through the post and I loved it. Â Maybe it just takes more than 140 characters for me to realize awesomeness. Â I love the idea! Â Emily could not have been more right….when you are dealing with all your daily tasks and keeping so busy, especially this time f year, a comment in your inbox for your blog is a ray of sunshine. Â For me, it lets me know that there are people out there that see what I am working on, and take a minute to appreciate it. …more…
